STEPHEN ROLOFF - BIO

Stephen has 25 years of professional experience in online media, film and television as a startup CEO, Producer, Director, Production Designer, Writer and Development Consultant, with a client list that includes Paramount, Universal, Lucasfilm, Alliance Atlantis, The BBC, PBS, Syfy, the Family Channel, CBC, CTV, and IMAX.  His 12 award wins and nominations include Emmy, Gemini, Ace and Broadcast Design Awards.

Stephen’s hallmark faculty for both logic and creativity, honed in studies in Engineering and Production Design, has fostered an ability to develop new applications for emerging technologies, and a reputation for visionary creative and business innovation.

As a futurist long aware of the oncoming tsunami facing media business models, Stephen moved to San Francisco 5 years ago to explore how the disruptive influence of online media might be harnessed to further the evolution of traditional media.

After 2 years as a senior consultant for Tickle.com (a successful online media company acquired by Monster) he founded his own online venture, a soon-to-launch exchange leveraging cutting edge technologies to radically transform cross-platform media development.

Stephen believes that a large and important opportunity exists for next generation media to profitably engage with these uncertain times, and he has numerous transmedia projects in development that reflect this.  He is actively seeking a range of partners for these projects, and roles contributing to the innovative work of others.
